ta-da

introducing....

the amazing dwarf trout lily!

mentioned in a previous blog. extremely rare and hard to find.

sometimes life is so hard.
but it's the little things
(in this case, the really little things)
that seem to get me by.

amazing, wonderful, miraculous. it really is the little things. like the confixor i'm about to go buy because it will fix my bad hair day and make me smell good.

To be honest, I find it hard to keep my eyes on so rare a flower, when the hand that holds it is so especially rare and cherished.

The creases in your skin - hiding there since you were a baby.

The subtle woodgrain swirls in your finger prints.

The ring that connects you to a kind and wonderful soul.

amanda, don't be sad. ok, you can be sad, don't bottle your feelings. i think blogging makes me sadder too because its cool, but not real. how pathetic that instead of actually spending time with my best friends i just sit alone and cyber channel them. its a little pathetic and sad. BUT do you wanna know what would be happy? that piece of magical land or the magical commune in st. paul. where all of us will live and cook and put our hands in the earth together and drink bottles of wine and san pelligrino together. don't worry. its just around the corner, and you will be there.

i'm glad you all like the photo...the flower and the hand. it's hard to imagine life without such beautiful flowers, or such beautiful friends.
