5 months old

ok, that last post was a bit depressing. however, this should lighten the mood a bit. avery at a few days old....and 5 months old. wow!

and these are a few of my favorite comments about my 22 pounder:

"he sure doesn't miss any breakfasts, now does he?"

"oh my god, you could enter him into a contest!"

"your arm muscles must be getting really strong."

"is that normal?"

"are you worried?"

no, i'm not too worried. as long as he doesn't keep up at this rate....he'd be 50 pounds by the time he was a year old! and now THAT would be something to see.

oh, what a guy! i love these kind of "before and after" shots in the same environment. 22 lbs. wow! silo is about 25-26 lbs. opposite ends of the spectrum -- that must be why my arms aren't so toned??!!?? (just kidding) anyway, do you think maybe i can finally meet him on october 20th??? let's chat about the BIG WOODS!

that sounds great! can't wait to see your big (little) guy now that he is 2 years old. remember "lick shoes" from anne's blog? well, that is thelma, and I think they should meet sometime. Maybe we can barbaque here for lunch after the race and I could invite her (and her parents down) to Northfield. could you stick around for lunch???

Hi Amanda!
Thanks for your comments. It was fun meeting you in passing - you have a beautiful family!!! We'll have to officially get together sometime.
And thanks for the hint on the cheesemaker. This has been my fantasy life for a few years now.

I sure hope that anonymous comment was from my mom. if not, that's kind of freaky.

AMANDA! i'm laughing at your last comment. i assumed it was your mom - but agree it would be freaky if it's not from her!!!
